Comprehensive Physical Therapy

When a health issue makes it difficult for you to move easily and perform everyday activities, physical therapy can be very beneficial. Our goal is to help you restore function, reduce pain, and increase your range of movement.

Munson Healthcare’s comprehensive physical therapy program focuses on preventing and rehabilitating orthopedic injuries, neurological deficits, musculoskeletal problems, arthritis, and chronic pain. We serve patients throughout northern Michigan and we believe that everyone — from competitive athletes to seniors and everyone in between — should enjoy an active lifestyle not limited by pain or weakness.

Individualized Treatment Programs

Our highly trained and experienced physical therapists treat you as an individual. We start with a one-on-one evaluation to assess your range of motion and mobility, as well as your balance, gait, and strength. We also review your medical history and current issues and may perform additional tests for your personal evaluation.

After the evaluations, you are assigned a physical therapist who works with you consistently in a one-on-one environment. Your therapist carefully gauges progress and makes adjustments as needed to help you meet your personal goals.

Our therapists also teach you in-home exercises and injury prevention techniques, so you can stay healthy and enjoy an independent lifestyle after your physical therapy is finished.

Because each physical therapy program is unique, the frequency and duration of sessions depends on your specific health condition and individual goals. Our entire team of physical therapists are dedicated to your success - making physical therapy an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
