Facilitators help participants understand, explore the grieving process
The loss of a loved one brings many changes. Those left behind can find it hard to understand the often complex and painful thoughts, and feelings that accompany a loss.
Munson Hospice offers a free 10-session program in four locations around northern Michigan to help participants in their journey through grief. Compassionate facilitators will help participants explore and understand 10 touchstones that are essential physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual actions to help in the healing process.
Sessions will be held in Cadillac, Grayling, Houghton Lake and Traverse City at the following times and locations:
- Cadillac – Mondays from 10 a.m. - noon starting Feb. 15 through April 18 at the Evergreen Resort, 7880 Mackinaw Trail, in the Mitchell Room.
- Grayling – Fridays from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. starting March 4 through May 6 at the Devereaux Memorial Library, 201 Plum St.
- Houghton Lake – Thursdays from 3 - 4:30 p.m. at the Houghton Lake Center, RCOA, 2625 S. Townline Road.
- Traverse City – On the second Wednesday of the month from 5 - 7 p.m. starting March 9 through Dec. 14 at the Senior Center Network, 801 E. Front St.
While the sessions are free, participants are encouraged to RSVP to the Munson Hospice bereavement coordinator at 231-935-2053.
