Nominate an Extraordinary Nurse at Otsego Memorial Hospital

All nurses at Otsego Memorial Hospital provide excellent care. Sometimes, you may feel your nurse has gone above and beyond his or her duties in caring for you. If you are inspired by your nurse’s care, you may honor him or her with a Daisy Award nomination. Each year, two nurses are selected at Otsego Memorial Hospital for The Daisy award.

What is The DAISY Award?

The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. This award is given in memory of J. Patrick Barnes and was established by his family to honor extraordinary nurses.

The DAISY Award honors nurses who provide Otsego Memorial Hospital patients with a remarkable experience. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community.

Each DAISY Award honoree receives:

  • A beautiful certificate.
  • A DAISY Award pin.
  • A hand-carved stone sculpture entitled “A Healer's Touch.”
