Opportunities abound in our excellent, integrated and highly-automated Munson Healthcare Laboratories. Labs are located within all Munson Healthcare hospitals as well as in convenient community locations around northern Michigan.

Each Munson Healthcare lab is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and/or the Joint Commission, and is CLIA88 certified.
Munson Medical Center in Traverse City is the reference laboratory for all Munson Healthcare Labs. The system reference lab provides more than 3 million test results each year in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment equipped with the latest innovative technology and state-of-the-art instrumentation and automation. Munson Medical Center partners with Mayo Medical Laboratories and Spectrum Health for reference and referral testing.

Laboratory Aide
Join the laboratory team at one of the hospitals and work directly with laboratory staff, nursing personnel, inpatients and outpatients to collect and process lab specimen.
Medical Laboratory Scientist
Become a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Munson Healthcare. A Medical Lab Scientist performs routine and special clinical laboratory tests and assesses results. This critical role ensures the quality of patient lab tests.
Phlebotomist
As a Phlebotomist, you'll work directly with patients to draw blood for medical testing, diagnosis and transfusions. Phlebotomists can help to ease any nerves a patient may have with needles. This role helps ensure the tracking and management of blood samples for accurate testing results.
Histotechnologist
As a Histotechnologist, you will be a member of a laboratory team who employ histologic technology to diagnose diseases, conduct research, or instruct others in the science. You will prepare very thin slices of human, animal or plant tissue for microscopic examination.
Laboratory Assistant
As a Laboratory Aide, you will be under direct supervision of technical director and section manager and also may receive instructions from pathologists, technologists, and technicians and section managers. A Laboratory Assistant provides routine assistance performing laboratory tests and/or research. They clean, break down, and store laboratory facilities, equipment, and supplies as appropriate, and may keep routine records and reports on laboratory results according to established procedures.
