The leaves may be changing, but exercise remains a constant health benefit in every season.
Manistee Health Connection offers a wide range of group classes to keep the body toned for the ski season, hiking fall pathways, or overall vigorous health. Exercise specialists will lead 14 classes designed to meet the needs of a wide range of ages and abilities.
The fully-equipped facility includes an aerobic circuit, weight room, stretching area, and locker rooms with showers. A variety of membership and payment options are available.
The following classes, free with Health Connection membership, will be offered through Dec. 23:
3,2,1: 3 minutes of cardio, 2 minutes of strength training, and 1 minute abs.
Balance: 30 minutes devoted to improving balance.
Core & More: 30 minutes of full body toning with a concentration on core.
Creative Cardio: Instructor’s choice, varies each week.
Flexibility: A 45-minute session of full body stretching.
Mat Pilates: Mat exercises focusing on strength and flexibility.
Mix & Match: Low impact, low intensity aerobic and weight training.
Pure Strength: Total body strength training.
Rock Bottom: 30 minutes of toning abs and lower body.
Silver Foxes: Seated and chair-assisted standing exercises.
Step It Up: Choreographed, cardio workout, building movement patterns and combinations.
Step & Sculpt: Intervals of choreographed step aerobics and strength training.
Strength: Low impact movements, concentrating on over-all toning.
Yoga: 45 minutes of gentle, restorative full body stretching.
