Pharmacist Offers Safe Medications for the Elderly Program

Medications play a key role in the lives of many older Americans as a means to maintain more active and longer lives.

Munson Healthcare pharmacist Barb Ostrowski, Pharm.D., will offer free “Safe Medication Use for the Elderly” programs at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, at the William Kitti Education Center (Stone House) on Kalkaska Memorial Health Center’s campus. The public is invited.

Participants will learn how to avoid the dangers of medication interactions, tips to ensure medication safety when dealing with multiple medications, and more. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation. Registration is not required.

The William Kitti Education Center is located at 419 S. Coral St. in Kalkaska.
