West Shore Bank recently made a $15,000 contribution to West Shore Medical Center’s Endowment Fund. The gift will support future projects at the hospital.
“We are a community bank, and supporting local organizations is part of our mission” said Raymond Biggs, President and CEO of West Shore Bank. “We recognize that a good health care system is important to the well-being of the area.” The bank’s roots stretch back more than a century. West Shore Bank currently has eight branches in Mason, Manistee and Oceana counties, including two locations in Manistee.
The West Shore Medical Center Endowment Fund was established last year to provide long-term financial support for the hospital. “As an endowed fund, the principal will not be touched, while the interest can be used for hospital endeavors,” explained West Shore Healthcare Foundation Executive Director Rachel L. Estabrook. “We are extremely grateful to West Shore Bank for their commitment to health care in Manistee County.”
