Volunteering at Kalkaska Memorial Health Center (KMHC) 

Volunteers play a key role at KMHC. Volunteering is rewarding for you as the volunteer, as well as those you help. A variety of services are available — from direct interaction with patients to behind-the-scenes office work. KMHC works with each interested applicant to determine which service would be the best fit based on your interest and ability. All volunteers receive training and volunteer orientation. 


Requirements to Volunteer

  • Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer 
  • Must complete a two-step TB test & flu immunization provided by KMHC Employee Health 
  • Attend a mandatory Volunteer Orientation prior to volunteer placement. 

Volunteer Time Commitment

Volunteers are scheduled for at least one four-hour shift per week. A minimum six-month commitment is preferred (except summer college student volunteers).
