Nominate an Extraordinary Nurse at Grayling Hospital
All nurses at Grayling Hospital provide excellent care. Sometimes, you may feel your nurse has gone above and beyond his or her duties in caring for you. If you are inspired by your nurse’s care, you may honor him or her with The Daisy Award.
What is The DAISY Award?
The DAISY Award is a nationwide program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary clinical skill and compassionate care given by nurses every day. This award is given each month in memory of J. Patrick Barnes and was established by his family to honor extraordinary nurses.
The DAISY Award honors nurses who provide Grayling Hospital patients with a remarkable experience. These nurses consistently demonstrate excellence through their clinical expertise and extraordinary compassionate care. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our nursing community.
Each DAISY Award honoree is recognized at a ceremony in her/his unit and receives:
- A beautiful certificate
- A DAISY Award pin
- A hand-carved stone sculpture entitled “A Healer's Touch.”
How to Nominate an Extraordinary Nurse
Anyone may nominate a nurse. Nominations received by the 15th of the month will be considered for the following month’s Daisy Award.
