Course Descriptions
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
ACLS is an advanced course that highlights the importance of high-performance team dynamics and communication, systems of care, recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest, immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute dysrhythmia, stroke and acute coronary syndromes (ACS).
Munson Life Support Training Center is an authorized provider of American Heart Association accredited education in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
PALS training is an instructor-led course that focuses on a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
Munson Life Support Training Center is an authorized provider of American Heart Association accredited education in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Pediatric Advanced Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
PEARS teaches providers how to recognize respiratory distress, shock and cardiac arrest, and provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until the child is transferred to an advanced life support provider. The goal of PEARS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Heartsaver® CPR AED
Heartsaver® CPR AED is an instructor-led course that teaches adult and child CPR and AED use, infant CPR, and how to relieve choking in adults, children, and infants. This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.
Munson Life Support Training Center is an authorized provider of American Heart Association accredited education in Heartsaver® CPR AED.
Heartsaver® First Aid
Heartsaver® is an instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills to respond to and manage an emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services arrives. Students learn duties and responsibilities of first aid rescuers; first aid actions for medical emergencies, including severe choking, heart attack, and stroke; and skills for handling injury and environmental emergencies, including external bleeding, broken bones and sprains, and bites and stings.
Munson Life Support Training Center is an authorized provider of American Heart Association accredited education in Heartsaver® First Aid.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
BLS is an instructor-led course that teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPS and team dynamics.
