Welcoming a new baby into the world is one of life’s miracles. At Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital Birthing Center, we help miracles happen every day. That’s why we put such a high priority on making every aspect of our birthing center just right. From our prenatal care and classes, to our well-appointed birthing rooms, our experienced doctors and nurses, and our postnatal breastfeeding support, every detail is addressed. We take care of all of the details, so your focus can be where it should be — on your new baby. At Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital you can be comfortable in your surroundings and confident in your care.

Our Birthing Center is designed to provide an intimate, family-centered childbirth experience. Great care is taken to make childbirth a comfortable, joyful event. Each room offers a beautiful view of Lake Michigan, private bath with whirlpool, comfy homelike furnishings, and the most advanced medical equipment to ensure your safety, and your baby's well-being. Labor, delivery, postpartum care and recovery all take place in one beautiful, fully equipped room, where we're able to provide the excellent care and support you and your newborn both deserve.

From the moment you step into our peaceful Birthing Center, you’ll know you are in a place where babies are treasured and celebrated.  Flexible visiting hours and staff dedicated to getting families off to a good start ensure that new dads, siblings, and grandparents share in the happiness of the birth experience too.  Giving birth is one of life’s most memorable events; we want it to be a very special time for you. That's why we honor each mother’s preferences and requests as closely as we can while ensuring the safety of both mother and child. We are firmly committed to providing family-centered maternity care, so dads are encouraged to spend the night and siblings, grandparents, and others are welcome to visit as the mother wishes. All in all, a great deal of care is taken to make childbirth a comfortable, joyful event.

Each room offers a restful view of beautiful Lake Michigan and the Charlevoix shoreline, together with a private bath with whirlpool. Comfortable, homelike furnishings  provide a great start for your baby, and the most advanced medical equipment helps to ensure not only your safety, but the safety of your new little one.
