Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Aeman Hana, DO, to Traverse Heart & Vascular.
Dr. Hana chose cardiology because cardiovascular disease remains the number one killer of Americans. Although remarkable advances in medical care have been made to prevent cardiovascular disease, it unfortunately remains the leading cause of death. He chose to practice cardiology to prevent cardiovascular disease morbidity and mortality by using evidence-based medicine from national guidelines and consensus statements in formalizing an individualized approach.
He attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed a residency in Internal Medicine, and a fellowship in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Teaching is a big part of what drew Dr. Hana to medicine and he enjoys educating patients about nutrition, exercise, and medication management. Treatment is multifaceted and it's important to him that patients understand that medications are not always the answer.
“I truly appreciate the ability to help patients comb through the complexity of medicine,” he says.
In his free time, Dr. Hana enjoys working on cars, woodworking, and welding.
Dr. Hana is accepting patients at Traverse Heart & Vascular in Traverse City and Manistee.
