Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Anthony McClafferty, MD, to the team at Traverse Heart & Vascular.
Dr. McClafferty chose to specialize in cardiology because of the significant impact cardiovascular disease has on patients’ quality of life. He attended Wayne State University School of Medicine, completed residency at Baylor College of Medicine, and his fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital. He is also board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
His special interests include preventative cardiology and helping patients achieve their functional goals, such as recovering after a heart attack, managing heart failure, and maximizing sport and performance goals.
“As a cardiologist, I try to help patients better understand their heart health and provide diagnostic and treatment plans that help meet their needs and goals,” he says.
In his free time, Dr. McClafferty enjoys cycling, running, and spending time with his wife and two children.
