The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will feature information on anxiety and depression following a stroke, and how to cope with these emotions, at its meeting 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, at the Presbyterian Church, located at 701 Westminster Rd. in Traverse City.
Kaitlyn Grangood, LMSW, Lakeview Counseling Center, will discuss the emotions that are common after experiencing a stroke, including anxiety and depression. The presentation will include coping techniques when experiencing challenging emotions, understanding these feelings, and knowing how to manage them effectively. Grangood will also answer questions from attendees.
New and former members of the stroke club are invited to attend.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets on the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and discussions.
