Munson Healthcare Cadillac Hospital has been honored for its exceptional maternal care, earning a Level II Maternal Care Verification from The Joint Commission and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). This recognition underscores the hospital's expertise in managing a wide range of pregnancies and maternal-fetal complications, distinguishing it from Level I facilities that provide care for low to moderate-risk pregnancies.

"We are incredibly honored to announce that Cadillac Hospital has been named a Level II Maternal Care Verified Facility by The Joint Commission. This esteemed recognition highlights our steadfast commitment to delivering outstanding maternal care,” said Peter Marinoff, Community President of Cadillac Hospital and Munson’s South Region President. "Our team ensures the highest standards of safety and quality, providing compassionate, top-tier services to our communities in Northern Michigan."

“In a rural area like ours and in a rapidly changing healthcare environment, it is rare to have this high-level distinction achieved for OB and Maternity," said Cristen Brandsma, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Nursing Officer for Munson Cadillac. "That’s why we’re so proud of this designation. Our teams are committed to providing amazing care that our community can trust while staying close to home.”

Additionally, the Blue Cross Blue Shield Care Distinction Plus Center awarded the hospital for its expertise and commitment to quality care for both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Additionally, Cadillac Hospital received Platinum Status from the Michigan Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Care (MI-AIM) for excellence in addressing maternal health issues like hemorrhage, hypertension, and sepsis.
