Gaylord, Mich. — Dr. Jennifer Lawhorn, Oncologist/Hematologist with the OMH Medical Group Oncology & Infusion Center, will lead a discussion on cancer screening and prevention on Wednesday, September 14th, from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Professional Medical Building Conference Room at Otsego Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Lawhorn will speak about cancer statistics, prevention, and screening recommendations for breast, colon, prostate and lung cancer during this free event. Light refreshments will be provided.
Dr. Lawhorn will also be talking about a new lung cancer screening available at OMH. The Low Dose CT scanner is used to detect early signs of lung cancer, which is the second most common cancer in both men and women. The screening will be available in late Fall at OMH.
