Munson Medical Center’s nationally ranked heart program sends specialists weekly
Providers from Munson Medical Center’s nationally ranked heart program bring their expertise weekly to Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.
Munson Medical Center cardiologist Dino Recchia, M.D., FACC, nurse practitioner Edward Kraska, N.P.-C, and physician assistant Adam Leech, P.A.-C, travel to Frankfort regularly to provide area patients easy access to heart care expertise.
“We’re excited to offer these clinics locally because it makes it so much more convenient for area residents, we appreciate the effort of Dr. Recchia to reach out to our community,” said Peter Marinoff, president of Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.
Services available include cardiac diagnostic testing, follow-up visits, and cardiac rehabilitation.
Dr. Recchia is board certified in cardiovascular disease and also holds board certification in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. His professional interests include heart failure, cardiomyopathies, pulmonary hypertension, echocardiography, cardiac pacing and valvular heart disease. He is the director of Munson Medical Center’s Heart Failure Clinic and chairman of the Department of Cardiology at the hospital.
Kraska received his master’s degree from University of Michigan as an adult/gerontology and acute care nurse practitioner. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Leech is a graduate of Idaho State University’s physician assistant program and is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Munson Medical Center was ranked in the top 50 programs for cardiology and heart surgery in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.
Area residents are encouraged to ask their primary care physician if they can be referred to the heart care team at Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital.
