Christopher A. LaFond, M.D., M.P.H., has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a specialist in general surgery. Dr. LaFond practices at Surgical Associates of Traverse City, 1221 Sixth St., Suite 306, in Traverse City. His office can be reached at 231-935-2400, and he is currently accepting new patients. 

Dr. LaFond graduated from Ben Gurion University in collaboration with Columbia University, Be´er Sheva, Israel. He completed his residency at St. Joseph Mercy Health System, Ann Arbor, Mich.
