Gaylord, Mich. — Dr. Wendy Frye, General Surgeon at Otsego Memorial Hospital (OMH), will be giving a presentation on acid reflux, a common problem affecting people of all ages. The discussion will include causes and symptoms of acid reflux, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment options available at OMH.
Dr. Frye will discuss the BRAVO treatment method which is used to measure the amount of reflux a patient is experiencing to determine if they are a good candidate for anti-reflux surgery. This surgery is performed with state-of-the-art minimally invasive surgical technology, the da Vinci® Surgical System. OMH is only the second hospital in northern lower Michigan to offer the da Vinci Surgical System to patients for minimally invasive surgeries.
The event will take place on Wednesday, March 14th from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the Professional Medical Building Conference Room at OMH. Admission is free and light refreshments will be provided.
