Munson Healthcare laboratories are experiencing all-time high volumes of COVID-19 testing. In addition, we are noticing that our Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinics are handling many individuals who are simply seeking a COVID-19 test.
In an effort to supply a clear resource and alleviate some of this type of traffic at UC/WICs, we have updated our COVID-19 Testing Locations website.
Please use this site to appropriately route individuals to the right location for specimen collection and testing. We are specifically asking our providers to familiarize themselves with the locations for testing asymptomatic individuals so that these people can be directed to the appropriate location.
In addition, MHC has implemented a grant-supported program to re-route individuals arriving to our UC and WICs for COVID-testing who don’t need to see a provider by offering them a free COVID-19 Antigen Test at the door. This program has been implemented in our Urgent Care and Walk-In Clinic locations (except Charlevoix, which will launch this program soon) and has proven effective in alleviating some of the pressure being felt at these care areas.
