Community invited to six free sessions in August and September
The Cowell Wellness Initiative at the Cowell Family Cancer Center offers a six-part series of programs on “Loss in Life, Grief, and Caregiving” during August and September.
Pastoral Bereavement Educator John Churchman will facilitate the free sessions from 6 - 7:30 p.m. in the cancer center’s first floor REMEC Conference Room. The following programs are planned:
• Aug. 17 – Loss in Life and Suffering
• Aug. 24 – Grief Experiences
• Aug. 31 – Helping Myself in Times of Grief
• Sept. 7 – Twelve Steps of Healing
• Sept. 14 – Stumbling Blocks Along the Way
• Sept. 21 – Helping Others in Grief
The programs are open to the community. While the programs are free, those interested in participating are asked to RSVP to Emily Haan at 231-392-8492 or ehaan2@mhc.net.
