Obesity is one of the leading causes of unnecessary death in the United States. While bariatric procedures are not for everyone, surgical weight loss is dramatically improving the lives of people who commit to life-long changes in diet and exercise.
“Surgery is the tool,” Nizzi said. “You use it to achieve success through proper after-care that includes diet, exercise, and follow-up.”
The Munson Medical Center Bariatric Surgery Program is fully accredited through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program, administered jointly by the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
