Fred J. Van Alstine, M.D., Joins Munson Medical Center

Fred J. Van Alstine, M.D., has joined the staff of Munson Medical Center as a specialist in hospice & palliative medicine. Dr. Van Alstine practices with Munson Hospice & Palliative Care at 1105 Sixth St., Traverse City.

Dr. Van Alstine graduated from University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Mich. He completed a family medicine residency at University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor, Mich. and a hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, Atlanta, Ga. Dr. Van Alstine is board certified in family medicine. Dr. Van Alstine was president of the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians from 2013 - 2014.
