Give the Gift of Life: Give Blood

Give the gift of life this winter: give blood! Michigan Blood is holding a blood drive in Classroom 2 of the Education Center at West Shore Medical Center on Thursday, February 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The hospital is located at 1465 E. Parkdale Ave. in Manistee.

Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. Michigan Blood needs to collect 25 to 30 pints every day just to meet the needs of the Manistee community. This vital substance must be collected constantly because blood components can only be stored for a short time. Please consider helping others by becoming a donor. The process is easy and takes only about an hour.
