Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital, Grayling Hospital, and Otsego Memorial Hospital remain open and providing patient care as power outages continue in those communities.
Power has been restored to Grayling Hospital, but Charlevoix Hospital and Otsego Memorial Hospital continue to operate under generator power. Munson Healthcare is reassuring its communities that each facility is capable of running 36-48 hours on generator and resources to refuel are readily available.
With the Ice Storm Warning remaining in effect through 11:00pm and power outages persisting, Munson Healthcare is closing several clinics and outpatient services for Monday (March 31). A list of those closures can be found at the following link: Munson Healthcare Closures.
Munson Healthcare facilities in Cadillac, Frankfort, Kalkaska, Manistee, and Traverse City have not been impacted.
The health system urges anyone experiencing a medical emergency in areas affected by the ice storm to continue to call 911 or seek care at the nearest emergency department while exercising caution due to icy and obstructed roads.
Munson Healthcare will provide status updates through social media and its website at munsonhealthcare.org as they become available.
