Valet parking will be available for patients and visitors at Main Lobby entrance
Construction on Munson Medical Center’s parking structure begins Sept. 19.
Vice President for Facilities Steve Tongue said a valet parking service with patient drop off at the main lobby entrance will begin Sept. 11. The service will operate from 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Patients who choose not to use the valet service can park in Lot B adjacent to the Cowell Family Cancer Center.
“We want to make our parking experience as smooth as possible. Once completed, this project will give us 571 spaces for our patient and visitor parking,” he said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience as we go through the construction process.”
The three-story structure will be built in the hospital’s current Parking Lot A. The structure is the first step toward a larger project that will upgrade facilities for women and children, expand operating room capacity, and allow for more private rooms.
Plans call for the parking structure project to be completed in the fall of 2018.
