Dr. Paonessa graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Mich. She completed an internship at University of Louisville School of Medicine, Louisville, Ky. and a residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Paonessa also completed an endourology fellowship at Indiana University Health/Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, Ind.
