Lauren Osbeck, DNP, APRN, CPNP-PC, a Nurse Practitioner with a passion for pediatric care, is returning to her roots in Harbor Springs to practice at Little Traverse Primary Care and Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Pediatrics. Having spent her early years in this picturesque northern Michigan town, Osbeck's decision to return home comes as a heartfelt choice driven by a desire to give back to her community.
Lauren moved to the Carolinas during preschool but spent every summer and winter holiday in the Harbor Springs area, fostering deep connections to the community. While her decision to move to the Carolinas stemmed from personal circumstances, her heart never strayed far from her hometown. "Harbor Springs has always been home to me," Lauren shared. "I missed being home and being close to family."
Reflecting on her favorite memories of growing up in the area, Lauren fondly recalls the Fourth of July celebrations at her grandmother's house. "She made all holidays magical for me as a child," Lauren reminisced. "And no winter childhood memory is complete without spending time at Nub’s Nob."
Now, with her return, Lauren is eager to contribute to the well-being of the community, especially its children. "Children need a solid foundation of health in order to grow and thrive. They need a provider who knows them and can provide consistent care. Over the last few years, we have seen multiple health care crises, and many are affecting children both mentally and physically. Children are the future of our community, and they deserve access to quality health care just like their parents and grandparents," expressed Lauren.
Osbeck's ties to Harbor Springs run deep. Her grandfather was the postmaster in Harbor Springs during the mid-20th century and a member of the 1929 State Basketball Championship team. Also, both her parents have been avid skiers at Nub’s Nob for decades, instilling in her a love for the slopes.
In welcoming Lauren Osbeck back to Harbor Springs, Little Traverse Primary Care and Charlevoix Pediatrics gains not just a skilled practitioner, but a dedicated advocate for the health and well-being of the community's youngest members.
