Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Matthew Lederer, DO, to Cedarwoods Internal and Geriatric Medicine.
Dr. Lederer enjoys family medicine because it allows him to get to know his patients and build long-term relationships, while using preventative medicine to combat chronic disease. He believes in educating patients and involving them in their treatment plan for the best outcomes.
“I love having the ability and privilege to help people,” he says.
Dr. Lederer attended medical school at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital.
He is board certified in Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT) and is passionate about its use for not only acute pain, but also chronic and refractory pain. He also enjoys many in office procedures such as joint injections, trigger points, cryotherapy, and ingrown nail removal. Dr. Lederer believes in using evidence-based medicine and conservative measures before exploring more invasive treatment, where possible.
He enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, daughter, a new baby on the way, and golden retriever. Outside of work, he enjoys outdoor activities such as biking, camping, golfing, and downhill skiing.
