MSU-COM students now training at Munson Healthcare include from left, Monica Sun, Morgan Ham, Amanda

Five members of the Class of 2025 from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine recently joined Munson Healthcare to complete the final two years of their medical school training.
The medical students include:
- Amanda Cline, who is originally from St. Paul, Minn., and who spent many summers in the region with family. She graduated from Creighton University with a degree in biology and prior to medical school, worked as a scribe in orthopedic and emergency medicine. In her free time, she enjoys volleyball, nature photography, and spending time with her pet rabbit – Jacque.
- Morgan Ham, a native of Lake Orion, Mich., who spent time in Traverse City as a young athlete in soccer tournaments. She graduated with honors from Michigan State University with a degree in kinesiology where she did research on the relationship between cognitive abilities and fitness levels. She enjoys soccer, volleyball, hiking, and playing the ukelele.
- Masai Rains, who is from Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Miami in Florida with a degree in biology. Prior to medical school he worked as a research assistant at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center in Miami involving cancer epigenetic therapeutics. He enjoys hiking, running 5K races, reading new books, and attending sporting events.
- Monica Sun, who is from the Chicago area. She has an undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University with a degree in biology and a minor in ceramics. She also received a master’s degree from Ohio State in anatomy. She enjoys rock climbing, backpacking, running, experimenting in the kitchen, and ceramics.
- Rebekah Weeks, who is from Troy, Mich. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in biomedical engineering. She has an interest in rural family medicine and LGBTQ+ health. Outside of medical school, she enjoys dancing, choreography, reading, knitting, and baking.
