MHC Partners with LabCorp for Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Option

MHC Partners with LabCorp for Asymptomatic COVID-19 Testing Option
10.21.2021

In an effort to increase community access to COVID-19 testing, MHC has partnered with LabCorp and will be offering PCR COVID-19 testing services at Foster Family Community Health Center (FFCHC) Library starting Oct. 21.

“This is a convenient option for someone who is asymptomatic, but may need a test for travel, sports, or work,” said Casey Kandow, System VP of Ancillary Services. “With this option, an asymptomatic individual wouldn’t need to step inside a clinic, where many of our symptomatic patients are going, to get tested.”

Who: Individuals who do not have COVID-19 symptoms (this is not an option for an individual who has received an exposure notice).

When: Begins today, Oct. 21. Walk-in hours are Mon. – Fri. from 8 – 4:30 pm.

Where: FFCHC Library, 550 Munson Avenue, Suite #0103.

More information:

  • No doctor’s order needed. This PCR test is an out-of-pocket expense for the patient ($51.31).
  • Patients will purchase the test kit from FFCHC Pharmacy and then proceed to the Library for swab testing.
  • Results are available within 72 hours via the LabCorp patient portal. Click here for details on how to download LabCorp’s mobile app to receive results via your smartphone.
  • Munson Healthcare will call all patients with positive results and add positive results to our patients’ EHRs.

Call to action: Please let your patients, family, and friends know about this new COVID-19 testing option for asymptomatic individuals.
