Late last year we communicated that we were ending our relationship with GTD and looking for a new lab courier. We’re excited to announce that Munson Healthcare will begin a new relationship with contract courier Crosstown Courier.
When: Effective Tuesday, Feb. 1, Crosstown Courier will be handling all runs and STAT courier needs for MHC not currently handled by our internal courier team.
Who’s affected: MHC staff who use MHC’s lab courier services including:
- ED staff and providers
- Urgent Care staff and providers
- Walk-in Clinic staff and providers
- LTC facility staff and providers
- Pharmacy staff
- Laboratory staff
Important information:
- As Crosstown Courier gets up to speed, there may be slight delays as they take over runs that GTD used to handle for the lab.
- Please be very explicit about what you want and the locations involved (to and from) as some of their couriers are still getting used to the area.
- You may be asked for a cost center when the courier run doesn’t involve laboratory so that charges can be apportioned correctly.
- Crosstown Courier expects to upgrade software in the near future to further improve the client experience.
