Munson Healthcare is pleased to welcome Michael Sand, DO, to its Charlevoix Sleep Center.
Dr. Sand feels rewarded when patients improve their ability to participate in the things they love through improved health and function. He enjoys talking about sleep medicine and encourages his patients to ask questions.
“I love what I do and enjoy helping patients,” he says.
He was inspired to pursue his career in sleep medicine after seeing his father, another sleep medicine provider, make a positive impact on his community.
Dr. Sand attended medical school at Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residencies in general surgery and family medicine at McLaren Macomb Hospital. He completed a fellowship in sleep medicine at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers and is board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and in Family Medicine/OMT by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians.
