The Cerner MyHealthInfo patient portal is getting a facelift! Beginning June 14, this portal will feature an enhanced interface with a new look. The change will be seamless to the user, and patients will use their existing credentials to access their portals.

Patients will also have the option to enroll in text notifications when they have new information in their portal (e.g. lab results, after-visit summaries). The first time a patient logs into their portal after the upgrade, they will be prompted to select their notification preferences – either email, text, or portal app notifications.

This is the first go-live of our Consumer Access Solutions strategy! We are implementing a series of new consumer technologies to make it easier for patients to access Munson Healthcare services and streamline workflows in our practices. Stay tuned for additional patient-focused enhancements coming later this year:

  • Patient communications: automated appointment reminders and patient texting
  • Enhanced Find-a-Doctor directory
  • Patient online self-scheduling, starting with primary care practices using Cerner Ambulatory
  • E-registration that will allow patients to electronically complete forms, give consent, and pay co-pays before their visit

The Cerner MyHealthInfo platform is used for more than 30 practices, about a third of Munson Healthcare’s owned clinics. (The Cerner electronic health record used in Charlevoix is not included in this current project.)
