Munson Healthcare today announced starting Thursday, July 6, the Walk-In Clinic will switch to a "same-day care" model, offering up to 32 appointments per day for anyone in the community, including those visiting the area this tourism season.
The new, by appointment only service, will be housed at the recently remodeled Grayling Community Health Center at 1250 E. Michigan Avenue and is part of Munson Healthcare’s patient-centric care vision. The move to the Community Health Center site, along with the new scheduling model, will increase patient access and quality, help significantly reduce wait times for patients, as well as eliminate overcrowded waiting rooms and the need to wait in vehicles.
“We’re putting patients first by providing them with convenient scheduling options and a comfortable and aesthetically pleasing healing environment, which is all part of our continued progress towards a more patient-centric model of care,” said Kirsten Korth-White, president at Grayling Hospital. “The new ‘by appointment only’ model means patients can schedule care at their convenience and we’ll have a spot reserved especially for them.”
The same-day care service model has been implemented at other primary care clinics within the Munson Healthcare system with great success. Same-day care appointments are available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patients should use Entrance C at the Grayling Community Health Center to check in for their scheduled appointments.
