Munson Healthcare has named Laura A. Glenn its vice president of Physician Network for the health care system.

Glenn joins the system from Beaumont Health in Southfield where she served as senior vice president and executive director of Beaumont Health Physician Partners and Beaumont Medical Group. She replaces retiring Vice President of Physician Integration Tim Binder.

“We are very pleased to welcome Laura to the Munson Healthcare leadership team,” said Ed Ness, president and CEO of Munson Healthcare. “She brings a lot of experience in her role, and her expertise will help our efforts as we work to enhance access to quality medical care for our patients across the region.”

As vice president of Physician Network, Glenn will be responsible for areas such as physician integration, implementation of a new electronic medical record in provider offices, and working with employed providers across the health care system to foster and enhance patient-centered care throughout the communities served by Munson Healthcare. She looks forward to her role.

“Munson Healthcare has an excellent reputation and I was drawn to the leadership team,” she said. “On a personal note, my husband, Matt, and I have always loved northern Michigan and we have family in Traverse City.”

Prior to her most recent position at Beaumont Health, Glenn has served in other leadership roles for the Beaumont Health System, including vice president of physician services, director of surgical services program development, and assistant hospital director at North Oakland Medical Center in Pontiac, Mich.

Glenn received her master of health services administration degree from the University of Michigan and an undergraduate degree in health fitness in preventive and rehabilitative programs from Central Michigan University. She was recognized in Oakland County Executive Elite’s 40 Under 40 in 2015 and Crain’s Detroit Business 40 Under 40 in 2012.
