New De-Escalation and Crisis Prevention Training

Although safety is Munson's top priority, we have experienced an increase in workplace violence over the last few years. To ensure our Healthcare Team have the necessary tools, MHC is launching new crisis prevention and de-escalation training provided by Aegis Training Solutions, a nationally recognized organization specializing in safety training for healthcare settings. 

• Tier 1

  • 1-hour online course focusing on de-escalation and self-awareness. 
  • Available now in HealthStream. Search for "AEGIS - Level 1 De-escalation and Self-Awareness." For step-by-step instructions on how to access HealthStream, read the job aid.
     

• Tier 2

  • 4-hour online course focusing on de-escalation and self-awareness at a more detailed level than Tier 1. 
  • Recommended for those working where workplace violence can occur. 
  • Sign up in HealthStream (available soon).
     

• Tier 3

  • In-depth learning model with 4-hour online course and 4-hour in person class.
  • Required for Security, Facilities (community hospitals), Behavioral Health, Gray Team members, and select members of Emergency Departments. 
  • If required, you will receive a HealthStream assignment.
