Northern Michigan Urology, based in Petoskey, has integrated with Munson Healthcare as a means to expand and ensure continued access to high quality urologic care for northern Michigan residents.
Urologists James M. Howard, M.D., and H. Michael Topley, M.D., said the integration ensures urologic care will continue for many years across northern Lower Michigan and the eastern Upper Peninsula.
“We will now see patients at an additional clinic in Charlevoix and perform urologic surgery at Charlevoix Hospital, in addition to our current locations,” Dr. Topley said. “Also, we are now able to accept additional insurances, expanding access to care.”
The practice sees patients at locations in Petoskey, Cheboygan, Gaylord, Rogers City, St. Ignace, and Sault Ste. Marie. Lab tests conducted in their office, located at 405 N. Division Rd., Ste. 2 in Petoskey, will now be processed by Munson Healthcare Charlevoix Hospital. Billing for services will come from Munson Medical Center.
“While this integration brings some very positive changes for our practice, it’s important for patients to know they will continue to see their same physician or advance practice provider,” Dr. Howard said.
