One Patient Record Strategic Project Launches at MHC

One Patient Record Strategic Project Launches at MHC
08.03.2022

We are pleased to announce that transformative work on our journey to One Patient Record, a strategic project to implement a single integrated Cerner electronic health record/EHR solution, has started! One Patient Record will simplify workflows for our Healthcare Team, bridge communication gaps between all care sites, and enhance our ability to better serve our patients. It is a critical component of the IT Roadmap and directly supports Munson Healthcare’s 2025 Strategic Goal Inform Decision Making.

Through One Patient Record, our Healthcare Team will be able to:

  • Streamline workflows, reduce duplication of work, and allow staff and providers to view the entire patient journey in a single patient record.
  • Enable real-time decision-making for the Healthcare Team using clinical, financial, and operational data, and by implementing effective data analytics tools.
  • Improve patient engagement and the patient experience by increasing a patient’s ability to be a more active partner in their health journey (e.g., use digital technology to communicate more efficiently with their providers and self-schedule appointments).

One Patient Record is an important step towards connectivity between all care sites within the Munson Healthcare system — and between MHC, our partners, and our patients — as we move towards a truly integrated common technology platform.

When:

  • The implementation will be launched in waves starting with ambulatory sites followed by acute facilities.
  • We are working towards a project completion date in the fall of 2024.

More information:

  • You will receive updates on the One Patient Record strategic project throughout the implementation.
  • As the launch date at your facility approaches, training sessions, learning materials, and resources will be made available to support you during this change.
