Gaylord, Mich. — Once again, Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital (OMH) was awarded an A safety grade from The Leapfrog Group for Fall 2018, marking the 6th A rating in a row for OMH.
The organization’s Fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grades were released today for approximately 2,600 hospitals across the country. The Leapfrog Group is one of several organizations that examine hospital quality and safety, assigning an A, B, C, D, and F grade based on how safe the facility is for patients.
“Our commitment to providing high quality care and a safe environment for patients shows with this A rating, our second in 2018. We will continue working to ensure we meet A level standards, maintaining the highest level of patient safety, transparency, and overall quality of care,” said Tom Lemon, CEO at OMH.
Developed under the guidance of a National Expert Panel, The Leapfrog Group Hospital Safety Grade uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to grade hospitals across the nation twice each year. The Hospital Safety Grade’s methodology is peer-reviewed and fully transparent, and the results are free and accessible to the public.
