Press Ganey Associates ranks hospital at top in outpatient satisfaction
Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital in Frankfort recently was named a 2016 Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey Associates for outpatient satisfaction. The award recognizes top performing facilities that achieve the 95th percentile performance in patient satisfaction.
Fewer than 5 percent of all Press Ganey clients reach this threshold and consistently maintain it for the one-year reporting period. The hospital was recognized with similar awards the past eight years.
Press Ganey, a national performance improvement company, partners with more than 10,000 health care organizations worldwide.
“Continuing our tradition of providing excellent outpatient care is very important to us. We are thankful for the trust our residents and visitors show us by allowing us to care for them,” said Peter Marinoff, president of Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital. “Outpatient areas key to us receiving this award over the years include our Emergency Department, Laboratory, Radiology and Rehabilitation services.”
Paul Oliver’s Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department typically sees about 5,000 patients each year. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day, every day. Highly trained, experienced ER providers and nurses also have around-the-clock access to downstate specialists through the Michigan Stroke Network.
As a member of the Cardiac Emergency Network, the unit is linked to Munson Medical Center’s Cardiac Services to speed diagnosis and treatment.
The hospital also offers outpatient surgeries, sleep diagnostics, a hearing clinic, state-of-the art radiology services, and rehabilitation services that feature Munson Medical Center rehabilitation therapists.
