Both Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital’s Crawford Continuing Care Center and Paul Oliver Memorial Hospital’s Living and Rehabilitation Center recently received 2019 Women’s Choice Award for Best Extended Care Nursing Home.
To achieve the recognition the facility must be rated as four or five stars in each of four categories using the CMS five-star system. The categories are:
- General staffing
- Registered nurse staffing
- Quality rating
- Inspection survey rating
"This honor puts us in the top 6 percent of nursing homes in the United States," said Marilyn Heard, Crawford Continuing Care Center administrator. "It is truly an honor to be recognized for doing what is right for our residents."
About 1,000 facilities out of 15,000 across the nation were eligible for the award.
