President of Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital Announces Her Retirement
04.30.2018

Stephanie Riemer, president and CEO of Munson Healthcare Grayling Hospital, has announced she will retire later this year after 35 years with the organization. Riemer will remain president and CEO of Grayling Hospital through August and Kirsten Korth-White, Grayling Hospital’s chief operating officer, will serve in the role of interim president and chief executive officer effective Sept. 1, 2018.

“Stephanie played a central and critical role in 2015 as Grayling Hospital transitioned from ownership by Trinity Health to Munson Healthcare,” said Al Pilong, Chief Operating Officer of Munson Healthcare. “Under her direction, Grayling Hospital has continued to remain a strong asset to its community. Through it all, Stephanie has always put patients first, and advocated for the needs of her hospital and her community.”

“Any time a senior leader retires, it is a great opportunity to step back and evaluate future needs. We must also balance that evaluation process with our daily operational needs in order to ensure that we continue to provide the best care to our patients and necessary support to our staff,” said Stephanie. “I am delighted that Kirsten Korth-White has agreed to serve in the role of Interim President and Chief Executive Officer for MHC Grayling Hospital beginning September 1. I have great confidence in Kirsten's skills and abilities to lead our organization as well as the team that has been selected to lead our hospital, our provider network and our skilled nursing facility.”

Stephanie will work with Kirsten, the Senior Leadership Team and the Board to ensure a smooth transition in September.
