Allaben, a native of Grand Rapids, Mich., has always been fascinated by how medicine and science can be paired to help others. Becoming a physician assistant was the clear career choice, allowing her to work in medicine with a large scope of practice to help people with their healthcare needs. She received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and went to Grand Valley State University for her physician assistant graduate degree.
After school, Allaben left the state for a few years to live in Chicago and Florida. She is excited to be back in Michigan and to make Traverse City her home.
“I genuinely care about my patients and treat every person as an individual with specific health needs and their own life story,” she said. “I promise I will always listen to my patients and do my best for them.”
In her free time, Allaben enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Mabel. They enjoy the many hikes and beaches the Traverse City area has to offer and exploring the region. She is excited to start working with Munson Healthcare and serve northern Michigan.
