Sepsis Survivor Week | Feb. 11-17

Sepsis survivors:¹

• 50% are diagnosed with post-sepsis syndrome (i.e., long-term physical and psychological effects).
• 33% will be readmitted within 3 months, typically due to another episode of sepsis or infection.
• Are at increased risk of major cardiovascular events (e.g., stroke, heart attack) within 4 weeks of hospital discharge.
