Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club Meets Wednesday, April 8

Stroke survivors are encouraged to bring an interesting or helpful fact about coping with the aftermath of a stroke to the Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club meeting 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8.

The meeting is at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road, in Traverse City.

Facilitator Melinda Hollands, L.M.S.W., said participants may want to share about an intriguing book, pertinent article, inspiring Internet link, good advice from a physician or health care professional, or a great idea that they have discovered on their own.

“Each of us will take a few minutes to share our tidbit, and by the end of the meeting, we will be all the wiser,” Hollands said.

For more information, contact Hollands at Munson Medical Center’s Social Work Department at (231) 935-6380.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions
