Stroke Club Considers the Art of Recovery

Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club Meets Wednesday, Sept. 9

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will learn more about the “Art of Recovery” project from Deb Freed of Northern Lakes Community Mental Health from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 9.

The stroke club meets at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road, in Traverse City.

The Art of Recovery project features original artwork from local artists recovering from a variety of things such as grief and loss, trauma, divorce, substance abuse, mental illness, and more.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
