The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will hear a presentation on “Feeling Safe at Home with Munson Medical Alert and Private Duty” at its meeting from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 13.

Munson Home Care Senior Business Development Specialist Anne Bodnar will share information with club members at The Presbyterian Church, 701 Westminster Road, in Traverse City.

Munson Medical Alert is a personal alert system that links the user to 24-hour assistance at the push of a button, while Munson Home Care’s Private Duty Service offers services such as bathing, shopping, meal preparation, and housekeeping that are customized to a client’s needs.

For more information on the meeting, contact facilitator Melinda Hollands, LMSW, at Munson Medical Center’s Case Management Department at 231-935-6380, or visit munsonhealthcare.org/strokeclub.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month. The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
