The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will visit the InsideOut Gallery from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 11, to experience the “Art of Recovery: The Human Journey” exhibition.

The InsideOut Gallery is at 229 Garland St. in Traverse City.

The exhibit features the work of 40 area artists who all have experienced challenges such as mental illness, physical injury, addiction, or the loss of a loved one. The ninth-annual exhibit is sponsored by Northern Lakes Community Mental Health.

For more information, contact facilitator Melinda Hollands, LMSW, at Munson Medical Center’s Social Work Department at 231-935-6380, or visit munsonhealthcare.org/strokeclub. The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets the second Wednesday of each month.

The stroke club offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect with one another through speakers, demonstrations, and group discussions.
