Stroke Support Group: ‘What Does Luck Have To do With It?’

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club will spin a St. Patrick’s Day theme called ‘What Does Luck Have to Do With It?’ during a teleconference from 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March. 9.

Melinda Hollands, L.M.S.W. with Munson Medical Center’s Patient Care Management Department will facilitate the group meeting that will discuss whether “luck” plays any part in who has a stroke, the ability to regain function, and time to recovery. Hollands has practiced social work for 35 years including 22 years with Munson Healthcare.

The Grand Traverse Bay Area Stroke Club is open to the public and meets on the second Wednesday of each month. The group offers stroke survivors and support persons the opportunity to learn, share, and connect through speakers, demonstrations, and discussions.
